People think that a nude lip is easy, just toss on a neutral lip gloss and you are good to go right? WRONG the perfect nude lip takes a little more time and technique and 5 items, a nude pink lip pencil, a neutral lip pencil, a matte nude lipstick, a matte lip chap and finally your favourite cream highlighter.
Step 1: After you have applied your foundation add some cream highlighter to the cupid’s bow of your lip – I used Joe Fresh Cream Highlighter in Champagne
Step 2: Line and full in your lips with a nude pink lip pencil – I used NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Neutral Pink
Step 3: Give your lips some dimension by using the neutral liner to contour you lips. Line the outer rim and corners of your lips – I used MAC Lip Pencil in Stone
Step 4: Apply your matte nude lipstick making sure to use a lip brush and apply right to the edges of your lip, going over the lip contouring so it becomes very subtle – I used MAC Lipstick in Honeylove
Step 5: Finally you can add a touch of matte lip chap to help moisturizer your lips and because it is matte it won’t change the look of your lipstick (of course if you prefer a glossy look use any lip gloss you like) – I used Embryolisse Essential Dry Skin Balm
And in 5 short steps you have the perfect nude lip!
Final note, this is a great look if you are doing a stronger eye but if you are doing a neutral eye as well make sure to add some color into your complexion otherwise you will look completely washed out. Try a stronger blush and extra contouring!
